The "Halcyon" kabuto was imagined as an elegant adormnent to the royal guard of a future / past emperor. Possibly our most detailed piece yet created, this helmet was handmade using high density EVA foam, foamex, leather lacing and lining, jewellery findings, brass conchs and decorative accents. The paint application involved metallics, weathering effects, contrast blending and shading. The helmet is sealed with an archival grade acrylic lacquer to protect the finish. A handmade timber kabuto stand accompanies the Halcyon to create a stunning display piece.
